Flag of the Basque country named Ikurriña, that symbolise from its creation in late XIX ct the struggle for the basque identity as a national entity.Flag of the Basque country.This flag was first created late XIX century by Sabino Arana (founder of the PNV-EAJ) and subsequently adopted for its popularity in 1936. Banned during Franco´s dictatorship and finally restored in 1977.
